 Lesson 1( 1.2.3)
I. OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Correctly say the words and use What would you like to be in the future? and I’d 
like to be a ...to ask and answer questions about someone’s future job;
- Enhance the correct use of What would you like to be in the future? and I’d like to 
be a ...to ask and answer questions about someone’s future job in a freer 
context.
1. Knowledge/ Language focus:
- Vocabulary: firefighter, reporter, gardener, writer
- Sentence patterns: What would you like to be in the future? and I’d like to be a

- Listening and speaking.
3. Quality /Attitude: 
Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. 
Educate Ss to show their love and interest in a certain job in the future.

Ss can develop some competences:

IV. PROCEDURE:

 1.Warm- up: 
 - The teacher divides the class in to two 
 teams “boys” and “girls” -Ss listen.
 - Each team takes turns to choose the 
 number and tell about jobs (maybe say in 
Vietnamese) 
- The team that drives the car to the finish 
line first is the winner. -Ss play game.
- Havr time for Ss to play game.
-Say “Open your book page 34 and look at -Ss open their book.

2. New lesson.
Activity 1. Look,listen and repeat. 
- Ask students to look at the picture in the 
book and identify the characters in the -Look at the picture and listen.

I. OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Listen to and understand two communicative contexts in which Ss ask and answer 
questions about the topic of jobs and tick the correct pictures.
- Use the words firefighter, reporter, gardener and write and the sentence patterns 
What would you like to be in the future? and I’d like to be a _____. to ask and 
answer questions about someone’s future job;
- Sing the song What would you like to do in the future? with the correct 
pronunciation, rhythm and melody.

like to be a certain job in the future

 .. to ask and answer questions about the reasons why someone would like to 
be a certain job in the future in a freer context.

- Vocabulary: teach children, report the news, grow flowers, write stories

- Review vocabulary about jobs by playing the game Job bank.
